Would You Like to be Listed on this Website?
If you have Miniature Galloway cattle and would like others to know about your cattle please contact us and we can discuss an invitation to list you. It doesn't matter if you are not ready to sell cattle or if you are not a super confident breeder just yet. You do not need to be a member of any Galloway Association or Society. Everyone has something to share and most of us are learning as we go. Lots of people will be really keen to hear about some of your day to day adventures with your cattle.
This website is run on good will - there is no cost to breeders to be listed. Listed breeders are required to be polite, prompt and professional in all their dealings with enquiries from the public. Listed breeders are encouraged to interact with and be supportive of one another. If listed breeders find they are unable to help with particular inquiries themselves, they are encouraged to direct buyers to someone who can - if and when possible.
It is the responsibility of the individual breeders listed to contact us regarding any changes they wish to have made to their details and to ensure that their contact details are always current. Address emails to The Administrator at:
Breeders wanting to be Featured Breeders on this website need to supply us with their story and photos of their cattle. We will help you with your story and editing but you will need to supply the photos. Featured breeders in 2012 - 2013 registered ten times the number of hits listed breeders received. We always need more featured breeders.
The owners of the website accept no responsibility for omissions or errors. If breeders do not contact us regarding mistakes, such matters can go unnoticed for months. Email addresses that prove to be no longer operational are simply deleted. New email addresses and phone numbers cannot be included unless the breeder themselves sends it to us.
Listings are still free of charge and we are happy to make as many changes as you would like (within reason).

Why People Love the Miniature Galloway
Galloway cattle are simply amazing in so many ways. Although it is necessary to distinguish between traditional Galloway cattle and miniature Galloway cattle, the only major difference between miniature and traditional Galloway cattle is size. Traditional Galloway cattle are a medium size cattle with a height range somewhere between Dexter cattle and some of the larger breeds of cattle in Australia. Miniature Galloway cattle are smaller with a strict height limitation of 120cm for mature cows and 125cm for mature bulls. Most breeders of miniature Galloway cattle now have stock with similar sizes to Lowline and Dexter cattle.
Traditional Galloway cattle are great for lifestyle properties, commercial breeders and they are perfect for those wanting to breed for beef. Once you have eaten Galloway beef there is no turning back.
Miniature Galloway cattle have all the good qualities of the traditional Galloway cattle only in a smaller package. Small families and couples can and do put them in the freezer, but the attachment most people form with their miniature Galloway cattle can make this a very difficult thing to do. Miniature Galloway cattle tend to become part of the family, rather than feeding the family. Many people find that they treat their miniature Galloway cattle like a large outside dog.
